On July 8, 2023, Grammy Award-nominated and multi-Nahoku Hano Hano Award-winning Hawaiian musician, singer, songwriter and recording artist Weldon Kekauoha and his wife Yuko, came to Oshima for a one-night only performance at Hotel Kailani! Yuko is a kumu of a hula halau in Niigata Japan.
